As a writer, producer and artist, Eight9FLY’s triple-threat skillset has made him an in-demand collaborator for some of the world’s biggest talents. Boasting credits for the likes of WizKid, KAYTRANADA and KSI, Eight9FLY has already contributed to tracks which have accumulated over 100 million streams at Spotify.

Eight9FLY co-wrote three tracks on WizKid’s historic ‘Made in Lagos’ album, including the global smash hit ‘Smile’ (featuring H.E.R.) which was highlighted in Barack Obama’s 2020 Summer Playlist. ‘Made in Lagos’ proved to be a landmark moment for the iconic Nigerian artist as it hit the Top 10 on Spotify’s Global Album Chart and peaked at #15 on the UK’s Official Album Chart.

It added a vital new chapter to Eight9FLY’s growing discography after he reached millions of streams on three other tracks: KAYTRANADA’s ‘Vex Oh’ (alongside GoldLink), KSI’s Silver-certified #6 hit ‘Houdini’ (with Tion Wayne and Swarmz), and Krept & Konan’s ‘G-Love’ (featuring WizKid), from their Top 5 album ‘Revenge is Sweet’. He also excels at working with rising talent, with credits including Pa Salieu, a Vevo Artist To Watch for 2021, and Trillary Banks.

Raised in modest circumstances in South-East London, Eight9FLY has risen against the odds to achieve his full potential. He first came to attention with early solo releases including ‘Vybz Kartel’ (featuring Moelogo) and the debut mixtape ‘Go Time’. Influenced by the likes of Michael Jackson, Drake, Dizzee Rascal and Jay-Z, his melodic delivery and versatile songwriting skills are equally at home in the worlds of R&B, hip-hop, grime and Afrobeats.
